Worthy Shorts Editing Services

For the author whose quality of work matters

A message from our Editing Services Director

Whatever your publishing objectives are, it is important to have a book free from typographical and grammatical errors. With that in mind, Worthy Shorts® Editing Services is for any writer whose quality of work matters, especially since every writer should have at least a second set of eyes to catch that occasional mistake.

Worthy Shorts® Editing Services offers copy editing, content editing, line editing or developmental editing. Show us what you have and we will direct you to what would be the best fit. Whether you are putting together a professional monograph, a family history or a collection of poems, a Custom Worthy work of any format or a short Worthy Shorts work in any of our ten keepsake genres --Worthy Shorts® Editing Services is able to help you make your publication the best that it can be.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss how we may help you.

You can:

1. Post your queries to editingservices@worthyshorts.com

2. Follow the procedures below

How to use Worthy Shorts® Editing Services (WSES)

Worthy Shorts® does not provide editing or proofreading services as part of its publication service. WSES is an independent service offered by Worthy Shorts®. It is open only to registered BackOffice, Agency, CustomWorthy and Worthy Shorts® authors. Click here to register as a Worthy Shorts® author.

If you have not engaged your own professional editing services, we recommend you contact WSES before launching your new title into production.

  1. Select, or defer until later, a format and/or design treatment from the choices offered by your Publication Center.
  2. Using our inquiry form (see link below), provide the information requested.
  3. Submit this form together with a single MS Word or Text file that contains your "manuscript," including
    1. Your working title, subtitle (if any) and author by line
    2. A table of contents
    3. A list of any illustrations or figures you plan to include
    4. Frontmatter, text and backmatter (if completed)
    5. Include within the manuscript any captions, legends or insertion information for illustrations or figures
  4. Please DO NOT be concerned with formatting at this stage. However, show any page breaks you will definitely require.
  5. You will receive in return an estimate of editing requirements and a request for any further information we may require. Before we provide any editing service we will furnish you with a sample editing treatment for which there will be a nominal charge in the event you decide not to proceed with the service. We will also request credit card information for payment of services that you agree to in advance.
