EDITORIAL SERVICES INQUIRY

ABOUT THIS PROCESS

NOTE: Worthy Shorts® does not provide editing or proofreading services as part of its New Title publication service. WSES is an independent service offered by Worthy Shorts®. It is available only to registered Worthy Shorts® authors. If you have not engaged in professional editing services, we recommend you contact WSES with this inquiry before sending your new title to production.
Getting started is a simple process. Submitting this form will enable WSES to provide you with an estimate of what will be required to copy-edit and prepare your manuscript and later to proofread it. We will confirm its receipt and send you an estimate of editing requirements and a request for further information we may require. At that time we will request your credit card information. Before we provide editing services, we will furnish you with sample editing for which there will be a nominal charge in the event you decide not to proceed with this service.

INSTRUCTIONS

(If you are a Registered Worthy Shorts® Author, proceed to step 3.)

  1. Register as a Worthy Shorts® Author here: Terms of Agreement and Author Registration Application.
  2. Upon acceptance of your registration, you will receive a Private Press Page password.
  3. Prepare an MS Word or text file with the following:
    1. Your working title, subtitle, and author byline
    2. A table of contents
    3. A list of illustrations or figures you plan to include
    4. Frontmatter, text, backmatter
    5. Include and link by reference number within the manuscript any captions, legends, or insertion information for illustrations or figures
    NOTE: Please DO NOT be concerned with appearance at this stage. However, show any page breaks you will definitely require.
  4. Provide the information requested on this form (including passwords.)
  5. Select the design treatment for your book.
  6. Upload the file you prepared in step 3 at the bottom of the page.
  7. Click "Review Request" to review your information. You may make changes before submitting this form.
  8. When your inquiry has been processed, you will receive an estimate of editing requirements and a request for further information we may require. Before we provide editing service we will furnish you with a sample editing for which there will be a nominal charge in the event you decide not to proceed with the service.
