This short story was written in 1984 by one of Hollywood's finest screenwriters, until he was blacklisted by the House Un-American Activities Committee in 1950. During the 1940s, he was responsible or partially responsible for such great films as The Letter, The Sea Hawk (both 1940), Sergeant York (1941) and Casablanca (1942), for which he shared an Oscar with co-writers Julius J. Epstein and Philip G. Epstein. Around 1967 he moved to Woodstock, New York with his wife, Anne, who gave permission to their friend, Marcia Albert, to publish it for the first time in a Worthy Shorts edition. This is a story of the irony of an imagined unilateral Cold War Soviet disarmament.

Design template: This cover design in the Classic mood uses a simulated pebbled leather background. A number of background color choices are offered. The design uses cursive and floral decorative elements repeated in the interior pages which set the tone for the Classic Short Story template used for this book.
