age of computers with their web blogs, electronic games, and porn sites. I hope, however, that you still occasionally like to hold such an old-fashioned thing as a book in your hand, and that this one fulflls that yearning.

I hope this book gives you some pleasure, Though pleasure is quite hard to measure. If it makes you just smile, It will still be worthwhile. If you laugh, it’s truly a treasure.

I dedicate this book to my beautiful wife Jeanne whom I was lucky to meet sixty-two years ago in la belle France and who still loves me as I love her, and whoever loves heartily laughs heartily (my proverb).

But unfortunately life can’t be all laughter, and to be human one must cry on occasion. Therefore you will fnd some limericks here that refect the sadder aspects of the human condition. Wipe away a tear and fnd laughter again in others.
