about a student uprising on a university campus.
The hero is the Dean, a man of reason who is
ultimately defeated in his attempts to bring
reason to bear. All three plays were written in
a very short time, and represent an outpouring
of creativity from a man who struggled on many
levels – political, philosophical, and artistic –
with the themes embodied in the turmoil of the
