Mary Kay Perkins , O.P. received a B.A. in French from Rosary College in 1952 and a M.A. in Romance Languages from Western Reserve University in 1964. In 1953–54 she entered the religious community of the Sinsinawa Dominicans, of which she is still a member. After a lifetime of teaching, she was employed by the Diocese of Baker, Oregon, in 1990. There she served at various times as Diocesan Director of RENEW, Superintendent of Schools, and Director of Adult Faith Development for the Diocese of Baker in Central and Eastern Oregon. She retired in 2004 and is now living in Chicago.
