Introduction
The highest possible stage in moral culture is when we recognize
that we ought to control our thoughts.
Charles Darwin
This book’s sole purpose is to teach you to THINK and to THINK cor-
rectly. THINK of this book as a zero to 100-point quiz: you get zero if you
don’t write anything in the book and a one-hundred for completing the
book. There are 24 Pockets of Success. Each pocket represents an aspect of
life—a lesson to help you THINK about various situations that many high
school students face. It will show you how to be successful by engaging you
in a conversation with yourself; through the five senses of success: THINK,
Visualize, Feel, Write, and Act, (the sixth sense is to repeat the five senses
of success over and over again). By using the five senses of success you
can
,
and
will
, have your dreams come true if you THINK about them, visual-
ize having them, feel good about them, write them down and act on your
ideas. These thoughts are expressed with everyday words and are often
used without thinking. By thinking about the meaning of these words you
will begin to see how these meanings are reflected in your life. Enjoy this
time that you spend with yourself. It is time well thought!
The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.
