Exposing oneself is always frightening and difficult, especially when it entails exposing the soul, the inner self. There is always the fear that people will not accept what you have to offer, that they will laugh at you, pass judgment on you, or perhaps even worse.

My need to bare my soul to the world emanates from the Talmudic verse that states: “. . .whoever saves one life is considered as if he had saved the entire world.” (Jerusalem Talmud, Mishnah Sanhedrin 4:5)

I feel a great need to help humanity. I wish to inspire a change in people. I want to bring people closer to God. And if my exposure accomplishes this, then the fear— and the diffculty it entails—are worth the risk.
